After a hurricane hits his coastal village, San, an elven bard, finds himself lost at sea. He washes ashore in the faraway kingdom of Cadencia where magic is rare, and elves, even more so. With the help of Peter, a human archaeologist, he must find a way to escape the confines of the imposing Conservatory of Arcana and return to his homeland.
