As the world becomes partially submerged by the rising sea levels and devastated by floods, a cynical raccoon and a young swallow bird navigate a labyrinth of islands in the hopes of finding a new home where they can both thrive. But the raccoon's past is chasing them behind every corner and it has the teeth and claws of a revenge-seeking wolverine.
