In "Kanashimi," ordinary individuals suddenly develop supernatural abilities such as flight and super strength. The government quickly identifies these powerful individuals and endeavors to apprehend them, confining them in a specialized facility for experimentation. Their aim is to replicate these powers and harness them for global control. A group of key protagonists must escape confinement to reclaim their right to live freely and fight for equality.
