John Martin and Malcolm Bechtel are two college freshmen from very different backgrounds, brought together by chance as roommates. Though they clash at first, they soon find they have quite a bit in common, and even more to learn from each other. Together they navigate the complexities of relationships, mental health, family, and identity.
