Jaro is given daily medication by his mother, which he actually doesn't need. His mother is very manipulative. She convincingly portrays that Jaro obediently follows and does what she wants. So, after school, Jaro lives locked in his room, firmly believing that it's better for his health. His stepfather is a doctor. Both of them have the same goal - to make Jaro disabled and collect disability benefits. Jaro will need all the help he can get to escape from this hell.
