This actually happened to me in fifth grade. I was so focused on what my teacher was reading to us, that she thought I was zoned out, so she walked up, dropped the text book on my desk as I watched her do it, and scared the stuffing out us both as I yelled. I proved I was listening but repeating what she had said.
