A young beggar named Grim, in existential crisis, loses his only friend and is left at death's door after a fire. Amid the flames, a mysterious figure appears, and Grim sees in it not only a chance to survive but to finally give meaning to his life. By forging a pact with this entity, he embarks on a journey in search of immortality, unaware of the true intentions of his new master or the hidden powers that govern his world.
