Momiji has lost the ability to shift his body in and out of daemon form. Unlike his peers, he is stuck with his animalistic features on full display at all times, and his particularly unique daemon has attracted the eyes of unknown pursuers. Concerned for his own safety, Momiji moves cities and takes advantage of a school travel project in order to shake them off his trail. But thanks to his inability to hide his daemon, it doesn't take long before he's found again.
