More than a hundred years after the Ending War, those who survive live in a chaotic world of conflict and magic. Most are scavengers, rebuilding a new world from the remnants of the old and living in groups known as Factions. As a Hunter for the Saints Faction, Azrael the Despoiler tracks down and eliminates dangerously mutated people that threaten the safety and sanctity of her Faction.
