Elijah, a constant target of bullying meets Clifford, a popular jock who for one reason or another seems unusually attached to him. When Elijah starts plotting his revenge, it will test Clifford's loyalty. That, or test Elijah's understanding of just how "gentle" the giant Clifford really is.
