Hell gathers its forces; Heaven responds in kind. A young angel, Maika Inazuma, leads an ill-advised assault upon the gates of Hell. Meanwhile on the planet Earth, year A.S. 20, more than twenty years after a great calamity shifted the earth's surface. A 16-year-old girl, Miume Hinotori, begins experiencing strange phenomena that she unwillingly causes without knowing how or why. For these two individuals, their lives are about to drastically change as their paths intertwine.
