Red collects plants for her research, while Black protects her from wild creatures on her little journey. Why is Cream there? Because she just wanted to be around Black. The conversation they have is pretty much a typical conversation between them. Unfortunately, Cream will not get what she desires as they are currently on a small mission. And Black doesn't care about anything else when he is on a mission.
