Something interesting about banshees is that their description varies by region in Ireland. Depending on who you talk to they might describe a slightly different scary woman. The coolest one I've heard is "a headless woman naked from the waist up, holding a bowl full of blood". The lack of a head would've been too distracting but I kept the bowl because it's an interesting image.
