Suki Nagusame, a 17 year old Japanese American college student, is offered an internship at the massive tech company Senedge after an impressive showing of her new invention, the gravity engine, at her school's science exhibition, but things quickly start to go awry when unusual tremors begin tearing the town of Shoreview apart at the seams.
