(GE has been rewritten) Mikado strives to become the next Emperor of the fallen Pinka Empire, he trains day and night with the help of his older sister Mika, in order to become strong enough to take part in the "Grand Emperor Tournament" which is basically a Tournament where the offspring of top class emperor's take part in a competition to decide who deserves their own rightful throne to their own empire. but it's not only exclusive to just royalty, commoners (like Mikado) can also take part.
