In the year 1874 a meteorite crashed into earth, killing half of the population. This meteor also brought The Taint, this taint infected people and soon kills them. The Taint also corrupts the land and animals, and soon nightmarish monsters began appearing, but there was also another thing that The Taint brought, people that were corrupted by The Taint but didn't die from it becomes immune to The Taint, and they soon developed supernatural powers. 100 years have passed since the meteor crashed..
