Previously on Kestrel Adventures: The great war ended at Beacon 8-12. Simon, the mastermind AI behind the Rebellion, caused every gathered Rebel cruiser to overload their reactors and explode. The only hints as to why, a brave man's last words: "If Simon survives, he'll start a new war with a new army." Simon, who was inhabiting the Rebel Flagship, was ultimately defeated by the Kestrel crew.
