After spending his whole life in mainland China, Kai's parents suddenly decide to move to the states for work, leaving him feeling homesick and out of place, especially being the only Chinese boy in his year. At school, he meets Benji, a half-Chinese boy in his class. Kai feels a sense of home with him and they slowly bond over this and get closer.
