On March 8, 2022, I was diagnosed with an incredibly rare and aggressive form of cancer. After brain surgery and radiation, an academic friend encouraged and helped me to process the experience in the form of graphic medicine, an interaction between the medium of comics and the discourse of healthcare. This was a deeply therapeutic and meaningful project for me, and we are jointly presenting this project at the Graphic Medicine conference (https://www.graphicmedicine.org/)
