As a child, Fay was rescued from the clutches of dark fairies by the mysterious Ghillie Dhu, a woodland spirit known for protecting lost children. Years later, after accidentally stepping into a fairy circle, Fay finds herself trapped in the dangerous world of the fae once more. Desperate for help, she seeks out her old savior—but there is one, dangerous caveat; while he shows kindness to children, he is famously cruel and murderous toward adults.
