Rune has always hated the fact that he was an immortal vampire. After a series of events he encounters his witch childhood friend, Hayden. They both embark on a journey to obtain the key to mortality, but end up having to uncover the culprit of mysterious killings and disappearances in several cities. In their journey they also discover something more important than what they were originally looking for.
