A family of five siblings and their father live under a strict religious doctrine. After their mother's suicide, the children must begin a new, more hostile life in which the doctrine becomes even more severe. Blinded by their religious faith, a rivalry develops among the siblings due to their differing beliefs about the same doctrine, all while struggling to survive in a dangerous environment with an abusive father.
