Every year, tens of thousands of people, mainly lusus naturae, are sent from the Ether and Caelestis Mons to the Exiled to either await trial, or serve a prison sentence. Every year, thousands escape in to the near neighborhood, now governed by gangs with a variety of agendas. Since she was Exiled, for the past ten years, Ari has had one core purpose: to earn enough money to get the hell out of this place.
