Taken from chapter 10 of the fantasy/western/thriller, "Scent", we find Emmett, a golden Lycanthrope, trapped in a battle with the odds weighed against him in at every turn. With a monstrous pack of Sunka on his trail, he will need to finish this battle quickly, but perhaps his first priority should be survival, as the showdown between him and a mysterious enemy comes to a head.
