Syde is a young, new robot, on the run from the authorities. Edg is his anxious mentor figure, who gives him shelter in exchange for labor. Living in the Yard, Edg and Syde build defenses against the corrupt government. Syde vows that he will eventually cleanse the government, but Edg is not so sure that he's ready.
