The prologue Chapter to a dark fantasy series I wrote when I was 15-16. It's incomplete and may change considerably in the future (If I decide to come back to it.) Hugo, a Boy-Mercenary and Former Slave roams the Kingdoms of Lordom. His Foster Father's Sword in hand, he crosses blades the Invaders from The Empire of Reeds, Bandits, and even his own countrymen, fighting day in and day out to stake his claim to a world that had forgotten him.
