A phenomenon known as The Divergence connected our universe to another. This event created pocket dimensions that allow travel between both universes, known as Cross Sections. These passages brought with them creatures known as Dissevor. People who could attune to the Divergence gained unbelievable power and were dubbed Embroiders.
