In a world where reflections act as a door to one's spirit world, there are those who wish to corrupt the souls of people, transfiguring them into something like a vengeful spirit. These are known as the regressed. While under normal circumstances, the reflected world cannot interfere with the realm of the living, regressors can pass this barrier, and in turn, seek to contaminate other souls. Oei is part of the Syndicate, an organization acting as angels of mercy to those corrupted.
