Gustav and Valentin met in the spring of 1876 when Gus was still human. Despite adversity, they kept on with each other hoping that someday they would not have to hide with their love. After being together for so long, Val thought he knew his husband inside out. When the cold came unexpectedly in their marriage, the character is convinced that the fault lies with him. He begins to try to restore the splendor of their relationship without even expecting what secrets are behind Gustav's behavior.
