After an attack against the Crown Prince, Raine's brother Adrian is summoned back to the capital, leaving his sister in the care of their estranged family. Not knowing how to cope with the loss of her brother and the shock of being related to a family of high class, she quickly attaches herself to the elf Lambert. Despite being completely oblivious to society's treatment of elves as well as Lambert's reluctant attitude towards her, the pair form a bond that is considered taboo to the world.
