Renee is an ordinary college girl who goes to a mystical academy of arcane defense. One day she meets a Grim Reaper for the first time and falls head over heels for him. The problem is she can only see him when she dies, so naturally she keeps finding ridiculous ways to temporarily kick the bucket. The Reaper deadpan and increasingly exasperated, keeps sending her back.
