"Deadlocked Syndrome" is set an alternative universe to what played out in Ratchet Deadlocked, with some references to canon! Following the life of Ace Hardlight and... somebody else. Ratchet & Clank do not end up being captured by Vox in this story - instead, Gleeman Vox captures a 'different kind of' prisoner for DreadZone... and so, a lot of action, chaos & antics unfold as the mysterious newcomer and the DreadZone champion are forced to live together...
