A teenage boy lives in Gold Village, a place of riches and wonder but mysterious. Okotaru(taru) aspires to be skilled with his sword while his other goals like his past remain unknown. In this land there are strange things happening. People are missing, livestock mutilated, and knights are killed. Can Okotaru figure what is the meaning behind these things that are happening and can he trust those he meets along the way?
