An introverted and pessimistic student, Ruruxi freezes every time he sees Arlind because he lacks the confidence to reveal his feelings for her. One morning, a mysterious light appears from the sky and hits Ruruxi. He starts to notice changes in his body, becoming more and more pessimistic while also developing unusual powers.
