Corrie Winthrop spends his life, like most people, waiting for something or someone to come along and, like any responsible man, spends his time preparing for the day he might meet that person. But when he meets her, he soon finds that she is homeless and illiterate yet has an innate sense of curiosity. Right then and there Corrie makes it his life's mission to help this person get on their feet, perhaps for the first time in their entire life.
