Vivian, after enrolling into the Academy and finally escaping to the "big world" from the backwoods, tries to find her place in society, facing problems of varying degrees of solvability on the way — from eternal awkward misunderstandings with people to a local curse leading to mysterious deaths among students. It becomes especially difficult when the problems are found in herself.
