I remember when I first read ASHORE in the doctor's waiting room. I finished it in one sitting, and despite how short it was, it left me with a sort of foreign nostalgia. ASHORE is a wonderful summertime story and one that I'm sure to pick up again and again and again. It's sweet and bitter and warm and cold and visually stunning!
