A teenaged college human girl named Mindy Jackson discovered the note and the magical skeleton key near the mysterious grave in the Akshi cemetery and has been sent down in the Netherworld also known as the spooky dimension to Nightmare City; the ghoulish city where less population of humans and stickfigures mixed with the most population of monsters and ghouls. She began to make new human, stickfigure or ghoulish friends (fiends) and cleanse the evil there or hang out with each other.
