In a society where people with supernatural abilities, Variants, have historically used their abilities to do nefarious things leading to the criminalisation of anything deemed unnatural. Good people are forced to hide who they are out of fear of persecution for something completely out of their control. Cloudburst follows a group of young adults who come together and realise they're in a unique position to combat the supervillain threat to their city, even if the law tells them it is wrong.
