A few years ago a small coastal town known as Sandford was changed forever when thugs and criminals took advantage of the poor political leadership and took over the once peaceful town. But in the present day when a team of rescue dogs stops for gas their leader, Champ, is captured by the local dog fighting business. Seeing first hand what the fighting dogs go through he is determined to help them. But with no fighting experience and few friends, surviving to save anyone is nearly impossible.
