Leo lives for photos and plants, spending his days in the school greenhouse. Sam lives for music—much to his parents’ dismay—hiding out with the drama club. When a rehearsal mishap sends Sam running to the greenhouse to practice in secret, his path crosses with Leo’s. Meanwhile, at the record shop where they work opposite shifts, someone begins to leave anonymous little messages around the shop, and someone else has been replying—sparking quite the peculiar, albeit mysterious, new friendship.
