By the First Snow is a drama-romance story about a 15-year-old girl, Ariel Shaw-Kang, who has relocated with her family to Seoul. Ariel Shaw-Kang relocated to Seoul with her family two years ago, and she faces many life challenges. Her mother is American, and her father is from Seoul, South Korea. It doesn't help that she has to deal with the boss's son, Jun-Seo Baek, 17, and his pack of friends, who have given her the name Aera, instead of calling her by her given name.
