A sailor starts her career at the end of a generation-long war, deploying on a combat mission against a faceless regime. Questioning her usefulness and roll in the U.S. Navy, Renee must contend with the expectations of her lineage clashing with the perception of her shipmates. The mission comes first: “Defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” but how do you fight a war if you become your own worst enemy?
