In some cultures, blue butterflies are in fact fairies who take this figure to hide themselves, spirits who are entrusted to protect the nature of man, over time many forest have been destroyed by humans, and a lot of fairies have disappeared, each fairy has a relationship close with its forest, if the ecosystem breaks down nature could lose its harmony. This is what happens with Blu who after being uprooted from his area has to find a way to return before it is too late.
