Blood Moon takes place in a place called Macca. Mari and 5 other main characters are chosen to take place in the Blood moon trials. The Blood Moon trials take place every ten years and take 30 chosen people to take place and be "given" as gifts to the Blood Moon. 10 beings from each race (Human, Monster, Demon) are chosen to take place in these trials.
