En route to a faraway place to fulfill his Imperial mission, Manta Vilfredo decides to take the shortcut via the Sylvian forest. Fully aware of the dangers and prejudice the region and its long-eared denizens hold against humans, he heavily relies on two things: [1] the lore he picked up from the video game Bladeswind which the world is based on, and [2] the skills he has honed through years of training and applying what knowledge he got from playing the game in his past life.
