Yukio Hara has lost the ability to see the world in color. Despondent and aimless from his sudden loss of sense, he falls into a cycle of self abuse, depression and drugs. As his problems continue to increase, Yukio's once shy demeanor turns into voluntary reclusiveness. Rather than curing him of his problems and conflicting emotions, this merely intensifies them to where he resolves to end his life.
