As a result of the Black Plague, birds evolved in a similar way to the way monkey evolved into human. These bird people became formally named “Dõthpàrthžîvàlràki.” Due to still having bird-like attributes and their late evolution, they are viewed as “lesser animals” and are often hunted or sold off to be killed. Alex, formally known as Nânân in his native language, has to navigate this world with his human nothing-more-than-a-friend Elliot. Will peace come to his people or will Alex die trying?
