Iris was adopted in the age of 6. From then she has constantly been told to cover her eyes. It is because the cathedral temple that took her in due to a certain prophecy, believes that the world is a sinful place. Iris has another adopted older sister who shows mixed reactions towards the fact that a cowardly child like her is chosen as the heir to her "mother".
