The year is 1986, Balefire Ridge University, in an alternate universe where supernatural creatures live in secret within and around human society. Charley Hark, a socially awkward and anxiety-ridden psychology student ends up on a wild ride as strange murders begin to occur on campus. All the while, he is discovering maybe he doesn't hate his overbearing and mysterious classmate Jason as much as he once thought. But nothing is as it seems. What lies are being told, and where will they lead?
